The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie two Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services into the community.

SASSA are going to be rendering solutions like new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency claimed it truly is alarmed regarding the high range of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The purpose from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the large amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This can be due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no entirely functional office committed to service the area regularly. The provider issue developed for intervention activities a superior influx of prospective beneficiaries, that makes it complicated for the office to attend to all people who check out a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra resources to allow the servicing of all more info buyers and raise usage of Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
